Tolerances w/fractions and Decimals

Please review the Khan Academy video on converting fraction to decimals then proceed to the tolerance assignment below.

Tolerance Assignment:

Directions: The tolerance for each dimension is +/- 1/16” or .0625”.

A) Convert each fraction to a decimal

B) Give the upper and lower limits for each.

(Ex. 3 ½” = 3.500” + .0625” = 3.5625” (Upper Limit) 3.500”- .0625” = 3.4375” (Lower Limit)
